New Direct Admission Overseas Chinese Students with Residence Duration less than 6 months
As notified annually by the Overseas Community Affairs Council ( self-payment of NT$560).
Available Medical Institutions:
Any Medical Facility that co-operate and covered by National Health Insurance Taiwan.
Valid for 6 months.
How it works?
Students who are under Overseas Chinese Students Medical Insurance would have to pay the medical bill in advanced. After the whole treatment is completed, please prepare the following documents and submit them to the Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Affairs (OSSS), for insurance claim processing:
- Application for Group Student Insurance Benefits: Fill out at the International Affairs Office, Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Affairs.
- Original Medical Diagnosis Certificate (sample): Obtain from the hospital or clinic with the official seal of the institution and the physician's signature, including the diagnosis and date of treatment. If multiple receipts are involved, the diagnosis certificate must include the dates of all receipts for claim application.
- Original Medical Expense Receipts (sample).
- Copy of Alien Resident Certificate.
- Copy of Passport.
- Copy of Postal Passbook.
For those who are not eligible to participate in National Health Insurance would have to participate in Cathay Medical Insurance in their own expenses. All the terms are same as Overseas Chinese Students Medical Insurance until the students are qualified to participate in National Health Insurance.
