Qualifications

Those who have NOT receives any other scholarship from Faculty or Government Unit

Master Degree

Doctorate Degree

1. At least 15 Required Credits on the previous academic year.
2. Average > 80.0
3. Those who complete all the Required Credits should submit Recommendation Letter from accredited professor & Proposal of Research Study

Documents for Application

1. Application Form
2. Semester Transcripts for the Previous Academic Year
3. Photocopy of the Valid Taiwan Exit & Entry Permit (Single/Multiple) 逐次加簽（多次出入境）許可證
4. Photocopy of ChungHwa Post Saving Account Passbook
5. Verification of Student Status of the current semester 新學期在學證明 (Apply from Registrar’ Division, Submission can be postpone to the 1^st week of semester)

Duration of Scholarship

The scholarship sponsor starts from the registration month of Recipients until the leaving (graduate/ suspension/ withdrawal/ expulsion) month of Recipients. The sponsorships not more than 2 years for Master degree students and not more than 4 years for Doctorate degree students. Sponsorship is terminated on time regardless course study extension.  

Scholarship Release

Release annually (one time per academic year, September of current year to August of the coming year)

Important Notices

1. The scholarship only release after the students complete the registration process (entitled as NCKU Student)
2. If recipient apply under Reservation of Student Status (New Student)新生保留入學 and Suspension (Current Student) 舊生休學, the scholarship of the current year Shall be CANCELED and Shall REAPPLY after school resumption.
3. Recipients who under Students Exchange Program or Short-Term Research Program abroad, the release of scholarship Shall TERMINATE during the out-boarding period and the original designed Duration of Scholarship Shall NOT extends due to out-boarding situation.
4. Release of Scholarship Shall be TERMINATED for recipients who leave the school more than 1 month in the Scholarship duration. (Summer and Winter Break is not included)
5. Recipient who under demerit:
   1. Minor Demerit:
      1. Cancellation of the release of current academic year scholarship
      2. Deprivation of the rights and qualification of application for the next academic year.
   2. Major Demerit:
      1. Cancellation of the release of current academic year scholarship
      2. Deprivation of the rights and qualification of application for the 2 coming academic years

Remarks

1. Submission to OSSS before 8/31
2. Ranking of class is not Required to fill-in
3. Verification of Student Status is not available to apply during summer break, please replace by certified photocopy of Student ID (front & back) (Please request of the certified stamp for the Application Academic Year)
