Established in 2003, the Presidents’ Forum of Southeast and South Asia and Taiwan Universities (SATU) was founded in 2003 by Prof. Chiang Kao, the then President of National Cheng Kung University, and Presidents of various prestigious universities in Southeast Asia. It aims to improve higher education and international cooperation in the region through sharing of valuable experience and facilitating exchange at different levels including students, faculties and administrative staff. SATU’s International Secretariat is situated in National Cheng Kung University.
Todate, SATU has more than 100 member universities across nine countries including Brunei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
