Important Notes
Application Restrictions
- Applications to attend international conferences in Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau are temporarily suspended.
- For the publication of the same paper, only one applicant may receive the grant.
- For students under the same advisor, a maximum of two grants may be awarded per year.
- If multiple students under the same advisor apply for the same conference, priority will be given to the applicant who passes the review and achieves the highest score.
- Regardless of the application rounds, only one student per advisor may receive the grant for the same conference.
Application Timeline
- Applications must be submitted at least 30 days before the conference start date. Select the appropriate application round; late submissions will not be accepted.
- Even if all documents are not ready, applicants must log in and submit the application at least 30 days before the conference. Missing documents can be uploaded before the submission deadline.
- Applicants not awarded the grant may resubmit in the next round, but must still submit at least 30 days before the conference.
- Each applicant may receive the grant only once per year.
Required Documents and Eligibility
- Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency (choose one):
- An English proficiency certificate. The English proficiency tests are limited to GEPT, TOEFL, IETLS, or TOEIC with scores of CEFR B2 level (equivalent to TOEIC 785 or GEPT High-Intermediate level) or above. CEFR Comparison Chart.
- Students holding citizenship in countries where English is the official language are exempt from this requirement. However, students must provide a copy of the passport information page as proof. For your convenience, please refer to the list of eligible countries.
- Applicants must first apply for funding from the government or external institutions, which is a necessary document for this grant. This requirement does not apply to online conferences or conferences held in Taiwan.
- Other documents, such as conference information, acceptance letter, abstract, recommendation letter, and transcripts, should be uploaded according to the instructions in the application system.
Review Results
Applicants can log in to the application system during the review notification period for each round to view their individual review results. Awardees will not be publicly announced.
Reimbursement and Supporting Documents
Applicants must carefully retain the following documents for reimbursement:
- Boarding passes
- E-tickets, ticket purchase receipts, or receipts from travel agencies
- Conference registration fee receipts
If any of these documents must be submitted for other funding reimbursements, make a complete photocopy for this grant's reimbursement process.
