【轉知】2026 UAAT International Young Visiting Scholar Program

To facilitate a virtuous cycle of talent exchange, the Ministry of Education has established the "University Academic Alliance in Taiwan" (UAAT). Comprising 12 leading Taiwanese universities with specialized colleges in national strategic fields, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is proud to be a member institution. UAAT aims to consolidate the resources and expertise of its members to foster diverse collaborations in research, curriculum development, and faculty exchange. By strengthening ties with world-class universities, the alliance seeks to deepen bilateral partnerships and drive international talent mobility.

To enhance collaboration between outstanding young scholars from international university alliances/systems and the 12 UAAT member schools, the UAAT Secretariat has launched the "2026 UAAT International Young Visiting Scholar Program". This program is now open for applications, encouraging participation in research, teaching, or innovation-based projects to collectively elevate academic and research energy. If you are collaborating with researchers from UAAT's international partner alliances, we welcome you to apply.

Please find the Program Guidelines (Attachment 1), Application Form (Attachment 2), and Promotion Flyer (Attachment 3) attached. Applications can be submitted directly to the UAAT Secretariat either by the international scholar or by the hosting unit.

Applicant Eligibility:

  • Currently employed at or a recent PhD graduate of an international university alliance/system that has signed an MOU with the UAAT.
  • Under the age of 45.
  • Outstanding international research scholars or doctoral researchers.
  • Please note: This program does not fund individuals from Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau.

Application Procedure:

  • Please follow the instructions in Attachments 1 and 2 to complete the online form and upload required documents at https://reurl.cc/lpegvd by May 20th, 2026 (Wednesday), Taiwan Time.
