Dengue Fever Prevention – Strengthen Campus and Community Protection

update date : 2025-09-03

Due to the severe global dengue outbreak and the emergence of local cluster cases in southern Taiwan, all units and schools are requested to fully implement prevention measures and strengthen health education.

Details:

  1. This notice is based on Article 7 of the Communicable Disease Control Act and the 2025 Dengue Fever Prevention and Control Plan.

  2. A total of 150 imported cases have been reported in 16 counties and cities nationwide. Local outbreaks have already been detected in nearby areas, raising epidemic risks.

  3. Since summer heat and rainfall provide breeding conditions for mosquitoes, please continue to implement the following:
    (a) Encourage the public to remove standing water and recheck after rainfall; travelers to endemic areas should protect themselves and monitor their health after returning.
    (b) Schools should reinforce health education on the first day of classes and remind students with overseas travel history to follow preventive measures.
    (c) Carry out source reduction, inspections, monitoring of high-risk areas, and other dengue prevention measures.
    (d) For more information, please visit the Taiwan CDC website: https://www.cdc.gov.tw/
