On February 14, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) hosted the 2025 Spring Semester Overseas Students Orientation, designed to help international students settle into campus life and adjust to living in Taiwan.
The event opened with a warm welcome from Prof. Wei-Shiun Chang, Associate Vice President for International Affairs (OIA). Prof. Chang encouraged students to make the most of their time at NCKU, expressing his hope that they would achieve academic success and have a meaningful, enriching experience in Taiwan.

To support the students' transition, the OIA invited representatives from the local police department and the Counseling and Wellness Division to provide practical advice on living safely and happily in Taiwan. The Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Services (OSSS) also shared essential information on obtaining the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), applying for work permits, and exploring scholarship opportunities.
A highlight of the orientation was the introduction of the Career Navigator Program, which helps students access valuable internship and career development opportunities. Program details and information about partner companies were also shared, encouraging students to start planning their professional paths early.

NCKU’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment was evident throughout the event, inspiring students to embark on a rewarding journey of growth and discovery.
