【 Kanto International Senior High School Delegation from Japan visits NCKU】

 Kanto International Senior High School Delegation from Japan, which consisted of a total of 20 visitors, teachers and students, visited National Cheng Kung University on March 22^nd. According to the statistics in the past three years (2021~2023), the number of Japanese students enrolled in NCKU is within the top 6. As NCKU values each overseas student, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) invited three current NCKU Japanese students to share their study experiences with the delegation.  

   The sharing session began with Mr. Hirakawa Eigen from School of Medicine, NCKU, giving a brief introduction to Tainan City, and multiple facets of NCKU such as the 11 colleges, English Medium Instruction (EMI) courses, international collaboration, Dual-Degree Programs, Faculty & Student Exchange Programs. Followed by Ms. YU HUEI, WU from Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, NCKU, she considered the excellent reputation NCKU has in the industry and affordable tuition fees the most appealing advantages to her. Besides, Ms. Wu enjoyed the small-class teaching and the diverse activities in her department. Last but not least, Ms. Manabe Wakana from Department of Industrial and Information Management, NCKU, considered that NCKU graduates are highly competitive in the talent market. Ms. Wakana also shared her valuable learning experience in information management and management engineering in her department.

   Ms. Wu and Ms. Wakana both gave some guidance on the aspects most overseas students are interested in, including Taiwanese cuisine, accommodation, transportation and entertainment, and encouraged students to choose NCKU to unfold their university journey. After the sharing session, the visit ended successfully with an NCKU campus tour. The delegation visited NCKU Lake, Banyan Garden, and the architecture of the Japanese colonial period, immersing themselves in the rich historical remains on our campus.
