Safety and well-being were key highlights of the program. Ms. Ann Yeh, Lieutenant Colonel from the Tainan City Police Department, shared important safety information, including local traffic regulations, scam prevention, and personal security tips. NCKU counselor Ms. Nancy Yen provided valuable guidance on cultural adjustment and mental health, reminding students that free counseling services are readily available on campus. To introduce students to their new surroundings, Ms. Lin Yi-Hua, an English-speaking tour guide from the Tainan City Tourism Bureau, delivered an engaging presentation on Tainan’s rich history, cultural heritage, and famous local delicacies, inspiring students to explore the city beyond campus. In addition, NCKU’s inbound exchange staff offered practical advice on course registration, academic regulations, campus resources, and daily life essentials.

During the information sessions, all exchange students focused on the presentation.
The orientation concluded with the introduction of the Campuslinker buddies, followed by an informal networking session over light refreshment. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere allowed exchange students and local volunteers to connect, share stories, and begin building cross-cultural friendships.
Through this orientation, NCKU reaffirms its commitment to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all incoming exchange students, ensuring they embark on a vibrant, meaningful, and enriching Spring 2026 semester.
