OIA hosted two Overseas Student Luncheon Gatherings on December 22 and December 24, 2025, at the Future Venue on the Kuang-Fu Campus, welcoming a total of 87 overseas students from diverse academic backgrounds. The events were organized by the OSSS to strengthen connections with overseas students while providing a relaxed setting for dialogue and mutual exchange.
Beyond offering care and support for students’ daily life and campus adaptation, the luncheons placed particular emphasis on promoting CareerNavigator Program, which aims to assist overseas students in planning their career pathways in Taiwan at an early stage. Through the program, students can access industry-aligned internship opportunities and resources designed to enhance their employability after graduation.
Representatives from the OIA also attended the gatherings and held open conversations with students, listening to their experiences, challenges, and expectations during their studies at NCKU. The events provided a valuable platform for cross-college interaction, enabling students from different faculties to meet new peers and expand their social networks.

Over the two days, participating students came from a wide range of academic backgrounds, including planning and design, liberal arts, social sciences, bioscience and biotechnology, computing and engineering, and interdisciplinary programs. Students also represented various colleges and cross-college initiatives at NCKU, highlighting the diversity of academic pathways among the overseas student community. Students came from a wide range of countries, with strong representation from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar, reflecting NCKU’s increasingly diverse overseas student population.
Through these luncheon gatherings, OIA continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting overseas students' academic success, well-being, and long-term career development in Taiwan.
