【NCKU OIA eNews】 NCKU’s ‘Global Weeks’ Inspires Students to Leap into International Exchange
This fall, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) launched the “Global Weeks – Study Abroad Series”, featuring a variety of events such as the Ewha Womans University Winter and Summer Program Briefing, 2025 Campuslink Exchange Fair, Temple University Dual Degree (DBMD) Programs Session, KTH Royal Institute of Technology 3+2 Dual Degree Program Briefing, and the Fall 2026 University-Level Exchange Program Orientation and Achievement Presentation.
Through these activities, the OIA encourages students to seize international opportunities, step beyond their comfort zones, explore the world, and discover new possibilities within themselves.
NCKU Campuslink Exchange Fair Sparks Global Connections
On October 1, NCKU’s Campuslink Exchange Fair filled the venue with energy and ideas. The event gathered over 120 participants, featuring exchange students and school representatives from 17 partner universities who presented their home institutions and cultures through posters and oral presentations.

Over 120 local and international students took part in this year’s Campuslink event, actively engaging in cultural exchanges, poster sessions, and interactive presentations.


School representatives showcase their home universities through poster displays and lively conversations, sparking meaningful exchanges with NCKU students.
NCKU students engaged actively, gaining first-hand insights into overseas study opportunities. At the close, participants voted for the “Most Impressive Partner Schools”: Leiden University (Netherlands), Technical University of Munich (Germany), and University of Turku (Finland). The winners received commemorative NCKU T-shirts as tokens of friendship. This vibrant exchange not only deepened cross-cultural understanding but also strengthened the bridges connecting NCKU with its global partners.

KTH Dual Degree Program Draws Strong Interest from NCKU Students
The Office of International Affairs hosted the KTH Royal Institute of Technology 3+2 Dual Degree Program info session on October 14. Prof. Urban Westergren, Director of International Relations for Greater China, and Ms. Ying-Fang He, Assistant to the Vice President, visited NCKU to introduce KTH’s programs, application process, and scholarships. Prof. Westergren emphasized the importance of English proficiency and clear study plans. Students enthusiastically participated, asking about academic fields, credit transfer, and military service, while many underclassmen attended to explore future study opportunities at one of Europe’s leading technological universities.

Although the number of participants was small, all students were highly engaged and actively asked questions.

Prof. Westergren introduced the environment of Stockholm, where KTH is located, and provided a detailed explanation of the application process.
NCKU University-level Outgoing Exchange Program Information Session for the 2026 Spring & Experience Sharing
NCKU University-level Outgoing Exchange Program Information Session for the 2026 Fall & Experience Sharing event was held on October 20, attracting more than 180 enthusiastic students.
During the session, OIA staff provided a detailed explanation of the application process and important guidelines. In addition, three returning exchange students—who had studied at the University of Tsukuba (Japan), Technical University of Ostrava (Czech Republic), and Technical University of Munich (Germany)—were invited to share their unique experiences abroad.
The student speakers reflected on their academic, cultural, and everyday experiences during their exchanges, encouraging their fellow students to step beyond their comfort zones and seize the opportunity to study overseas.
