【NCKU OIA eNews】 Successful English Session of "A Lunch Date with the Vice President of International Affairs" Promotes Cross-Cultural Engagement

Following the success of the Chinese session held on November 4th, 2024, the English session of "A Lunch Date with the Vice President of International Affairs" took place on December December 2nd, 2024, from 12:00 to 14:00. The event attracted 45 international students from diverse cultural backgrounds, offered a warm and inclusive setting for international students to connect with Chair Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs.

Through interactive games and candid conversations during lunch, Prof. Hsieh actively engaged with students, discussing their experiences, challenges, and achievements in Taiwan. His approachable demeanor and genuine interest in their stories created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, encouraging students to share their perspectives openly.
The participants from 11 countries, including Indonesia, Vietnam, and Paraguay, represented various academic programs, ranging from bachelor's to doctoral studies. Their enthusiasm was evident, with 98% of attendees expressing high satisfaction with the event.
This event strengthens the bond between international students and university leadership, reflecting the university'suniversity's commitment to inclusivity and cross-cultural understanding. Prof. Hsieh’s proactive engagement underscores the importance of such initiatives in creating a supportive environment for the university's global community.
