Representing Dr. Meng-Ru Shen, President of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Chair Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs, attended the 10th Campus-in-Campus (CiC) Initiative Annual Meeting held from October 30th to 31st, 2024, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This significant event brought together member universities from across the globe to foster collaboration and share innovative ideas.

During the meeting, Chair Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs, highlighted NCKU's commitment to international engagement and sustainable development goals (SDGs). He presented NCKU’s achievements, including its ranking as the top university in Taiwan and 25th globally in the Times Higher Education SDGs Impact Rankings. NCKU's initiatives in education for sustainability and social responsibility were also showcased, emphasizing the university's role in addressing global challenges.

The CiC Annual Meeting featured various discussion sessions, where representatives from member universities exchanged insights on future plans and collaborative projects. Chair Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs, gave a memorable presentation that included an overview of NCKU's progress in integrating global goals into its curriculum and research, particularly in areas such as technology and environmental sustainability.

In addition to the CiC meeting, NCKU also engaged in the 2024 Asia-Pacific QS Higher Education Pre-Summit Conference, which addressed critical topics such as "Higher Education in Central Asia" and "Navigating Technology: Best Practices in AI." This participation underscores NCKU's dedication to being at the forefront of educational trends and technological advancements.
