【NCKU OIA eNews】 “Let’s Go Study Abroad! 2024” Great Hits in the Events of Study Abroad of OIA

  The Division of Study Abroad (SA), Office of International Affairs (OIA), held a series of events related to studying abroad for NCKU students in October 2024. First came the “Campuslink” on the evening of October 16th, 2024. The event welcomed international exchange students from NCKU's partner universities around the globe, providing a platform for cultural exchange and interaction with local students.

  In addition to presentations by university representatives, various booths were set up, offering posters and brochures from 13 institutions across 9 countries. Students could browse materials and interact directly with the school delegates to explore diverse cultural perspectives and gain valuable insights into overseas education. 130 local students and 26 international students attended the event, fostering vibrant exchanges throughout the evening.

   Then, the University-level Exchange Program Information Session for the 2025 fall was held on October 22nd evening. Over 150 students participated to learn how to join the exchange programs and apply for the scholarship.

  Director Finner from the Technical University of Darmstadt and Dr. Kleiminger from the Technical University of Hamburg were invited to introduce Germany and their universities. Through their sharing sessions, students understand more about German education and consider to exchange at Germany.

  SA also promoted the four key partner universities of NCKU, University of Tsukuba in Japan, University of Grenoble-Alpes in France, Purdue University in the US, and the LMU Munich in Germany. The "UChicago–Taiwan student summer research program in the Sciences (UCTS)" program, a collaboration between the NCKU and the University of Chicago in the US, provides students the opportunity to join a summer research program.
  At the end of the event, 4 students who completed exchange programs in Japan, France, and Sweden were invited to share their experiences of studying abroad, providing valuable experience for students interested in exchange programs.
