On August 22nd, 2024, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) in collaboration with the Academia-Industry Consortium for Southern Taiwan Science Park (AIC), successfully held a high-profile career networking event aimed at connecting international and overseas compatriot students with leading companies in Taiwan’s burgeoning high-tech sector.

The event took place at NCKU’s Tzu-Chiang Campus, and brought together over 40 students from countries including France, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Paraguay, Somaliland, Thailand, and Vietnam. These students were provided with the unique opportunity to interact directly with representatives from major industry players such as All-Ring Tech Co., Ltd (ART) and Marketech International Corp. (MIC), gaining valuable insights into career prospects within Taiwan.
This initiative, organized by the AIC and NCKU’s OIA, underscores the ongoing effort to address the talent shortage in Taiwan’s high-tech industry. The event was designed to facilitate meaningful exchanges between students and industry professionals, allowing students to explore job opportunities, understand corporate cultures, and expand their professional networks.

Company representatives delivered comprehensive presentations covering a wide range of topics,  including job openings, company benefits, and career development strategies. The sessions also featured interactive discussions, where students had the opportunity to engage directly with the representatives from the company in enhancing their understanding of industry expectations and increasing their confidence in pursuing careers within Taiwan or with Taiwanese companies globally.
The partnership between NCKU OIA and the AIC reflects a strong commitment to strengthening ties between academia and industry. Both institutions emphasized the importance of fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, expressing optimism about future collaborations that will continue to provide international students with the skills and opportunities needed to contribute to Taiwan’s science and technology sectors.
