【NCKU OIA eNews】 The Delegation of Kanto International Senior High School and Osaka University of Economics from Japan Visits NCKU

Kanto International Senior High School and Osaka University of Economics student delegation from Japan visited National Cheng Kung University on August 22nd. The delegation comprised 15 visitors, including students and their teachers.

 The session began with welcoming remarks by Ms. Melody Tseng, Deputy Director of the Division of Overseas Recruitment and Admission Office of International Affairs (OIA). To ensure no language barrier with the visitors, Mr. Katsuhiko Okunishi (奧西克彥), the Director of the Tainan City Japanese Association(臺南市日本人協會), was invited to serve as the event host, who also gave an introduction of NCKU and Tainan. 


Ms. Tseng presented a gift to the teacher of the delegation


   What followed was a sharing by Ms. Wen-Chi Chang, a current NCKU student. She talked about her study in the Department of History, in which she got to explore different perspectives on the subject through various activities, such as theatre performances and field trips. The visitors also asked about the life at NCKU, from dormitory application to the Taiwanese cuisine and things to do for leisure in Tainan. 
This visit concluded successfully with an NCKU campus tour. The delegation explored NCKU Lake, Banyan Garden, Xiaoximen, and the BK24 Steam Locomotive, immersing themselves in the rich historical heritage of the campus.
