Ramadan Mubarak! NCKU Celebrates Ramadan Festival 2024

The Muslim traditional festival of Ramadan, known as the month of fasting, typically falls within the months of March and April. This sacred period holds immense significance for the Muslim community worldwide. Recognizing the importance of this festival and the diverse cultural fabric of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Prof. Chun Hei Antonio Cheung, Director of Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Services (OSSS), was honored with an invitation to participate in the Ramadan Iftar Observance held at March 18th.

Professor Cheung graciously accepted the invitation and not only attended but also delivered thoughtful remarks during the event. His presence and words resonated with the attendees, fostering a sense of unity and understanding among NCKU's Muslim community and the broader university community. Sharing the Iftar meal together further strengthened the bonds of friendship and solidarity.

In addition to Professor Cheung's participation, members of OSSS were also invited to represent the university during the prayer activities marking Eid al-Fitr, which concludes the month of Ramadan. Delivering remarks on behalf of NCKU, our team members emphasized the university's commitment to cultural inclusivity, sensitivity, and diversity.

Through these meaningful interactions and celebrations, NCKU not only celebrated this significant Muslim festival but also showcased its unwavering dedication to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment. These events serve as a testament to NCKU's values and its ongoing efforts to promote intercultural understanding and unity among its students, faculty, and staff.
