【Chinese New Year Celebration with International Students and Faculty】
National Cheng kung University marked the arrival of the Lunar New Year with an extraordinary Spring festival party, bringing together a diverse crowd of 400 participants, including overseas students and esteemed faculty members. The event, held on January 5 at Nong Yuan Man Han restaurant, unfolded as a tapestry of traditions, performances, and festive joy. A highlight of the party was the Lion dance performance, a form of traditional dance usually performed during the Lunar New Year, presented by the international students.
Executive Vice President Dr. Woei-Jer Chuang delivered remarks
The 400 participants, all comes from different backgrounds and cultures, embodied the university's commitment to fostering a global community. During the event, the Executive Vice President Prof. Woei-Jer Chuang, expressed his warm wishes and heartfelt greetings for the Lunar New Year to all overseas students. The overseas Chinese students community shared their own cultural practices and traditions during Lunar New Year to the international students and faculty members, creating an atmosphere of cross-cultural exchange and unity in celebration of the Year of the Dragon.
Through events like the Spring festival party, NCKU continues to promote cultural exchange and create a vibrant and inclusive campus environment.
