【Career Development Series of Lectures: Unlock Career Opportunities in Taiwan: Your Future, Your Permit!】
“How to stay in Taiwan after my graduation?” This may be a question that many international graduates are eager to know. The Office of International Affairs invited Jonathon Liao, the CEO of the International Talent Taiwan Office (formerly the Employment Gold Card Office) to provide insights for overseas students aspiring to work in Taiwan.
Jonathon Liao, the CEO of the International Talent Taiwan Office, offers his professional suggestions for international students to apply for work permits in Taiwan
On the day of the lecture, Jonathon Liao provided international students at NCKU with details about the application process, eligibility criteria, application procedures, and the benefits of holding an Employment Gold Card for foreigners working in Taiwan. However, what sets the Employment Gold Card apart from other policies for working in Taiwan is its integration of work permits, residence visas, Alien Resident Certificates, and re-entry permits. Moreover, individuals holding the Employment Gold Card have the flexibility to freely seek employment, work, and change jobs within the card's validity period. This eliminates concerns about the impact on residence visas when transitioning jobs, providing a seamless process for foreign nationals with the Employment Gold Card. This information is a valuable direction for our international students at NCKU who are considering staying in Taiwan for work.
