【Taiwan Technology Exploration Journey: Exploring the career path of the future】

On November 24th, OSSS organized a corporation visit for overseas students from the Engineering and Management College to Kaohsiung. The students visited two companies: ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd in Nanzih Export Processing Zone, and Brogent Technologies Inc. in Kaohsiung Software Technology Park.

The first company was ASE Technology (Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc.). ASE is a leading provider of semiconductor manufacturing services, including assembly and test solutions. The company develops and produces integrated circuits (ICs) for various applications.

During the visit, the HR department manager, Richmond, presented the company's comfortable working environment for international employees. Next, Ryan, the manager of a manufacturing engineering department, graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NCKU, shared his career path as an engineer and the semiconductor industry. Additionally, two Indonesian engineers talked about their work experience in Taiwan and gave valuable suggestions. Finally, the most surprising thing for them was the Muslim Prayer Room, which showed the company's respect for different cultures.

Next stop, the students visited Brogent Technologies. It specializes in the design, development, and implementation of simulation and entertainment solutions. Including virtual reality (VR) experiences, augmented reality (AR) attractions, and interactive multimedia installations.

Most students enjoyed this technology exploration this time. They not only learned information about the Taiwanese technology field but also gained some practical experience. It is a good chance for those who would like to work in Taiwan after graduation.
