【NOVA Scholars of 2023 Spring Semester Shared their Overseas Journeys-Part 2】

NOVA Scholars of the 2023 Spring Semester just finished their overseas study programs. Mr. Jen-Chieh Chang, the Internet & Media Director of National Cheng Kung University North America Alumni Foundation, Inc. (NCKUNAAFI), had interviewed three NOVA Scholars on Oct 29 afternoon in Taipei.

The three NOVA Scholars interviewed this time are new graduates. Their overseas journeys not only broadened their horizons and allowed them to experience different cultures but also be regarded as their graduation trip. They encouraged junior schoolmates to be brave in trying new things, step out of their comfort zones, and not to limit themselves.

During the interview, they all mentioned that the journey brought them more confidence and courage. They also felt that the bonds between people were the most memorable chapter in their journeys. Mr. Jen-Chieh Chang, their senior schoolmate, who had visited over 30 countries also shared his insight, expressing that the unexpected encounters between people often bring amazing rewards and memories.

They also took this opportunity to express gratitude to alumni from NCKUNAAFI, feeling fortunate to receive the NOVA scholarship and being the first cohort to go abroad for further studies, which was an extraordinary significance and meant a lot to them. They deeply felt the spirit that NCKU alumni wish to pass on. Despite graduating from NCKU, they are committed to sharing their experiences with juniors in need.
