A Chance to study in Sweden-NCKU-KTH 3+2 Dual Degree Program

 

On Nov 13, the Division of Study Abroad, Office of International Affairs (OIA), held the info session of NCKU’s newly-started 3+2 dual degree program with KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). Prof. Urban Westergren, the Director of International Relations, and Ms. Ying-fang He, the Assistant to the Vice President of KTH, came in person to introduce the NCKU-KTH 3+2 Dual Degree Program. Almost 100 students joined the info session, and many students showed high interest and raised questions for more details about the program.

KTH is the largest university in Sweden- ranked 73 in the 2024 QS World University Rankings and the top 100 universities in various engineering and scientific disciplines. Prof. Westergren first introduced the learning environment of KTH and the culture of the city where KTH is located, Stockholm. Then, he focused on the master programs provided by KTH, application procedure, and scholarship information. NCKU students are eligible to apply 3+2 dual degree program in Years 3 or 4. The following departments have joined the course mapping with KTH: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Photonics and Biotechnology and Bioindustry Sciences. Students from the other departments are also welcome to apply to the program with a detailed study plan. For the language requirement, KTH has a well-established English learning environment that is friendly to students worldwide. Prof. Westergren encouraged students to improve their English ability to get more advantage.

The students who are interested in this program must prepare a detailed study plan before applying, especially on completing the requirements of a bachelor's degree.
