【NCKU Participated in The Taiwan Higher Education Fairs in Indonesia and Thailand】

To cultivate future leaders and let students and parents thoroughly understand Taiwan's higher educational environment, the Overseas Recruitment and Admissions (ORA) Team, Office of International Affairs of the National Cheng Kung University visited Pekanbaru, Medan, Jakarta in Indonesia, and Bangkok in Thailand in August 2023 for industry-university cooperation negotiations and admissions promotion. NCKU has established tight connections with universities in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and other new southbound countries for many years. The academic networks among NCKU and other partner universities are deeply rooted, and the cooperation with their alumni has expanded to industry-academia partnerships. Last month, NCKU visited three Taiwan firms in Indonesia, including “PT. Universal Gloves”, “PT. Jui Shin Indonesia” and “Heqing Enterprise” to discuss the NCKU Butterfly Program. NCKU also seized the chance to meet with Riau University (RU), Universitas Mikroskill, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, University of Sumatera Utara, State University of Medan to discuss academic cooperation such as dual degree programs. On the other hand, during the visit to Thailand, Rangsit University, KMITL, RMUTT, Mahasarakham University, SIAM University, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, and Thai-Chinese International School also expressed their interest in cooperating with NCKU and are looking forward to having more bilateral activities soon.

NCKU offers more than 60 master's and doctoral programs taught in English for international students, which can satisfy students for their degree study, double degree, and exchange. According to the records of both visits, more than 5,000 teachers, students, and parents participated and collected study abroad information for future studies. Those students who have visited our both are more interested in the professional fields of study in engineering, management, electrical engineering, medicine, and nursing.
