【NCKU OIA eNews】 UPM Visits NCKU to Strengthen Partnership, Renew MoU, and Expand University-Wide Collaboration

Professor Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), and Mr. Nazry Hisham, Senior Assistant Registrar and Special Officer to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), recently visited National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) to discuss the renewal of the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and explore opportunities to strengthen institutional-level collaboration further. Building on the existing collaboration between UPM and NCKU’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, UPM expressed strong interest in expanding the partnership from department-level cooperation to broader university-wide collaboration.

 

NCKU Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Wen-Tai Chiu, presented a gift to Professor Ir. Dr. Abd. Rahim Abu Talib, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), and both sides expressed strong interest in expanding future collaboration.

Both sides also highlighted the importance of promoting joint research and identifying new opportunities for faculty and researcher engagement. NCKU Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Wen-Tai Chiu, introduced NCKU’s internal call for international collaborative research proposals and welcomed UPM faculty to participate. Both universities look forward to developing diverse channels of exchange, including student and faculty mobility, academic collaboration, joint research projects, and other international activities, further building a close and sustainable partnership between the two institutions.
