The Taiwan Comprehensive University System (TCUS) organized a cultural tour from May 15 to 16, leading international students from its four member universities into Tainan and Kaohsiung for a two-day exploration of Southern Taiwan's local culture and natural ecology.

The first day focused on the history of Southern Taiwan's salt industry and marine ecology. The international students first visited the Beimen Salt Washing Tourism Factory in Tainan, where they had a fun, hands-on experience using sea salt toothpaste and mouthwash. They then headed to the Jingzijiao Wapan Salt Fields to admire the unique scenery of snow-white salt mounds glistening under the morning sun. In the afternoon, the ecological tour of Qigu Lagoon amazed the students; they took an ecological cruise, savored freshly grilled oysters, and some even experienced traditional fishing net hauling firsthand, calling it a truly novel experience.

The second day shifted toward natural landscapes. In the morning, the group visited the Xinhua Chunghsing Forest, enjoying the fresh air while a tour guide introduced the unique features of the local flora. In the afternoon, they proceeded to the Tianliao Moon World in Kaohsiung, where the spectacular badland topography made the students feel as if they had stepped into outer space, prompting everyone to take photos. This event not only gave international students a deep experience of Taiwan's natural and cultural charms but also fostered warm and vibrant connections among them across different universities. 

The TCUS cultural tour came to a successful close, fully demonstrating the spirit of cross-institutional international integration.
