To encourage international students to pursue careers in Taiwan, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at National Cheng Kung University organized a corporate visit to ASE Semiconductor on April 30. Led by Overseas Students and Scholar Services (OSSS), a group of 15 outstanding international students visited the Kaohsiung plant of ASE, the world’s leading provider of semiconductor packaging and testing services. This initiative, part of the "Butterfly Plan," aims to bridge the gap between academic preparation and industry needs. Beyond touring the facilities and learning about corporate culture, the visit achieved remarkable success in career matching. During the event, 5 students submitted their resumes for on-site interviews, resulting in 4 students successfully securing job offers. OIA stated that such interactions significantly boost international students' willingness to stay and work in Taiwan, providing the tech industry with diverse global talent. The university will continue to foster these industry-academic partnerships to support international students' career development in Taiwan.
