Office of International Affairs (OIA) at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) hosted two engaging Overseas Student Luncheon Gatherings on March 31 (College of Management) and April 8 (College of Engineering), welcoming a total of 60 students from diverse countries and academic programs. Organized by the Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Services (OSSS), these events aimed to strengthen ties with international students, foster dialogue, and provide a relaxed space for networking.

Chair Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs, delivered inspiring opening remarks, highlighting NCKU’s strong global rankings and groundbreaking research accomplishments across various fields. He encouraged students to make full use of the university’s world-class academic resources and international environment, motivating them to pursue excellence and create meaningful impact during their time at NCKU.
 

Overseas students enjoyed a relaxed pizza lunch and conversation together.

During the luncheons, students enjoyed a relaxed pizza lunch and lively conversations with peers, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for cross-cultural exchange.

Students represented countries including Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and Vietnam. From the College of Management (32 attendees), most came from the Department of Industrial and Information Management, the Institute of International Management, and the Institute of International Business. From the College of Engineering (28 attendees), participants were primarily from the International Degree Program on Energy Engineering, the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and the Department of Chemical Engineering. Throughout these luncheons, students enjoyed a chance to relax, connect with peers, and share their study and life experiences.
