National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) hosted the "2026 World Cultural & Food Festival" on March 28.
On March 28, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) hosted the "2026 World Cultural & Food Festival," organized by the Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Services of the Office of International Affairs. This vibrant event featured stalls set up by international students from around the globe, aiming to promote cross-cultural exchange and demonstrate the depth of campus internationalization.
The festival kicked off with a powerful performance of the 24 Festive Drums by Malaysian students, followed by melodic music and exquisite dance acts that created a festive international atmosphere. Throughout the day, stall owners introduced their cultural backgrounds and specialty snacks to visitors, fully demonstrating NCKU’s spirit of diversity and inclusion.
The culinary journey featured authentic dishes such as fragrant Vietnamese Crab Soup, flavorful Indian Pani Puri, refreshing Thai Milk Tea, and silky Burmese Coconut Jelly. Beyond the feast for the taste buds, the Indonesian and Indian stalls featured cultural experience zones where visitors could explore handmade crafts, traditional games, or try Henna body art to immerse themselves in different cultures.
The event drew a large crowd of students, faculty, and off-campus visitors, allowing them to experience the joy of "traveling the world" without going abroad. The festival concluded successfully, serving as a concrete manifestation of NCKU’s significant progress in deepening its internationalization.
