National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) successfully concluded its inaugural recruitment briefing for the Fall 2026 International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program) on March 2nd. Organized by the Division of Overseas Students and Scholars Services (OSSS) under the Office of International Affairs (OIA), the initiative aimed to facilitate employment matching, broaden career development opportunities, and strongly encourage outstanding international talent to remain and work in Taiwan after graduation.
The half-day event, held at the Future Venue on the Sheng-Li Campus, specifically targeted graduating overseas Chinese and international students from the engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and semiconductor fields. Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs, officially opened the event by delivering inspiring remarks and providing a comprehensive introduction to the INTENSE Program.
A major highlight of the briefing was the active participation of global technology giants. Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, Inc. (ASE), acting as the event's co-organizer, alongside Micron Technology, sent representatives to engage directly with the students. Both ASE and Micron delivered in-depth presentations detailing their corporate environments, technological advancements, and exclusive career pathways available to NCKU graduates.

The event concluded with highly interactive corporate networking and feedback sessions. By fostering direct, face-to-face dialogue between soon-to-be graduates and top-tier semiconductor enterprises, NCKU successfully bridged the gap between academic preparation and industry demands. The OIA expects that this successful matchmaking event will not only enhance students' understanding of Taiwan's tech sector but also significantly boost enrollment in the upcoming master’s program.
