To support international students in exploring career paths in Taiwan’s high-tech sector, the Office of International Affairs at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) hosted the ASE Recruitment Orientation on March 18, 2026, at Future Venue 3F. The event featured ASE Group, a leading global provider in the semiconductor packaging and testing industry, and attracted enthusiastic participation from NCKU international degree students. 21 students from 9 countries and 14 academic departments came together to learn about career opportunities in Taiwan.

The orientation began with opening remarks from Chair Prof. Sun-Yuan Hsieh, Vice President for International Affairs, who highlighted NCKU’s strong commitment to supporting students’ career development and strengthening connections with industry. Mr. Huang, Deputy Manager of Human Resources at ASE Group, introduced the company’s global footprint, workplace culture, and talent cultivation programs, providing students with first-hand insights into Taiwan’s semiconductor ecosystem and ASE’s recruitment expectations.

During the Q&A session, students actively engaged with Mr. Huang, raising questions about work locations, salary and benefits, and internship opportunities. Many participants shared that the session helped them clarify their professional goals and better understand how to plan their future career pathways and prepare for applications to ASE and other high-tech companies in Taiwan.
